Wishing you white rabbits, for the first day of the month.
There's debate about whether you say white rabbits, or rabbit, rabbit, or rabbits and hares. And some people say it's only for certain months not all of them.
I consulted my resident Boehm bunny who says he thinks it's white rabbits and every month. Here we stand, we can do no other. I doubt if the Boehm bun gets the reference, but what's a little theological ref between friends.
Here he is, happy in a bed of henbit.
Lovely Rabbit Rabbit
ReplyDeleteI learned today about saying rabbit on April 1st. Fun superstition.
I rather like saying rabbit on the first of the month, every month.
You and I are together on this. We need all the coverage we can get.
DeleteI recently read about the saying of Rabbit three times on the first of the month and can't remember where or why but thank you for the cheer.
ReplyDeleteThree times? There's another one, then.
DeleteI hadn’t heard that one! I need all the help I can get.
ReplyDeleteIt did seem more important this month, yes.
DeleteI'd never heard of this white rabbit saying. But your little white rabbit is pretty in the henbit.

DeleteMy neighbor watched me setting him up for the pic. Her face was a picture --NOW what's she up to?
Liz, this made my smile. I recently carried a wooden chair all over the paddocks to take pictures of it in several locations. Talking to the goats the whole time. I try not to look toward my neighbor's house At All during such larks.
DeleteBetter to draw a veil..
DeleteMy white rabbits (family of 3) sit among a creeping rose. We have henbit also though it's a weed here.
ReplyDeleteIt's considered a weed here, too. I like it so I leave it alone!
DeleteI must admit I had never heard of the white rabbits saying/tradition until I 'met' you!
ReplyDeleteSee how your life is enriched!!
