Poinsettia and friends

The poinsettia caught a few early morning rays Friday

With shadows cast by the ponytail palm.

The slippers are finished and in action, great insulation against cold floors.

And I've been doing a casual granny square or two with the audiobook of Anna of the Five Towns.

I've always like Arnold Bennett since I read Riceyman Steps as a teen. There's a kind of atmosphere about his words that I think you either catch or you don't.  I'm not sure whether it lends itself to listening, though.

Happy day everyone, online with friends Friday evening, and I think I'll return to the Friday knitting group in the New Year.
