Daffodils at last, and new enterprise

Today I think I'll live, doing better, but today is largely loafing. I've done a lot of sleeping, probably a good thing. Thank you all for the good wishes.

Meanwhile the daffodils are at work.

Which is more than I can say for the snowdrops which put up foliage and never followed up with flowers.

Here's what Misfits is up to

Not that Thredup would be interested in anything I have to offer. They're really looking for higher end,  not hand stitched at home.

Happy day everyone, keep well.

Currently I'm bingeing on History and Coffee on YouTube, a very well researched series on the Tudor period, with many parallels to today. History helps keep things in proportion.

While I'm doing that I'm knitting and spooling.

  1. I don't even know if the snowdrops are out here yet. There is only one spot where I know to find them. Must check. Hope your recovery continues.

    1. I've had very little success with snow drops, and I see other gardens where they even multiply!

  3. Glad you continue to improve... and to loaf. I’ll be on the lookout for daffodils in the flower shops this afternoon. I’d love to have them in the house. Maybe next year I’ll force some bulbs.

  4. I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better. It's good to catch up on rest and relax while you gain your strength back. I have one daffodil blooming right now but we have some beautiful days coming this weekend so maybe more will open up...

  5. Only a few shoots of daffodils starting to show here. Sorry hadn't read that you were under the weather. Feel better soon.

  6. Yes to loafing and trivial but intellectual learning!

    1. I went to sleep with one Tudor princess going, woke up later to another. There's plenty of material in the period.

  7. So sorry to see you've been sick, but I'm glad you're feeling better. Sleeping always helps! The "Thredup" is a great idea -- so much clothing is wasted prematurely in our society.

    1. Thanks for the good wishes. Anything that reuses good stuff has my support, yes.

  8. Sorry that you haven't been well - daffodils do make the world a better place just by showing up, I think.

    1. That's so true, they're faithful. Unlike perfidious snow drops but I'm not bitter..

  9. The daffodils always are a welcome sight after a long cold winter.
Keep resting and hopefully you’ll be much better soon

    1. Resting is so dull! I keep just doing a thing or two. I get a bit stiff if I don't keep moving. I think you know quite a bit about that.

  11. I find the Tudor period interesting. I was well into the PBS series Wolf Hall, based on Hilary Mantel's historical novel.

    1. Her writing is wonderful. I understood so much more about Thomas Cromwell from her work, and the complications of the period. That was a good production, too.

I will check out History and Coffee. Sounds like something I'd enjoy.

    1. She's very well researched and just listening gives all the information, since the visuals are just slides which are nice, not vital. She also likes to get into what if? Like what if Katherine of Aragon had agreed and not fought back? Very interesting possibilities there

  14. Nice to see that Misfits is pairing up with a clothing recycler. I don't think we have Thredup here but I'll have to look into it.
