Breaker, breaker: GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY

Special post with cheers and tears.

Sad that a former president is now a felon. Happy that a brave jury refused to be intimidated and returned a great verdict.

Celebratory dinner

Happy day, happy day.

Guilty, guilty, guilty plus 31 more.

  1. It is sad that the office of The President has so been discredited by a now convicted felon.

    1. Nope, not the office, just that person. And law triumphed

    1. 12 brave New Yorkers delivered what Congress and scotus haven't.

  5. I agree with you. Now, the question is, what novel ways will he, along with his adulating crowd, try to undo the verdict? Having the Supreme Court in his pocket is no small factor. Not meaning to rain on your parade, but, with this guy, every time I think he is down for the count, he gets back up..... So many examples of scandalous behavior, all ignored! I am afraid to celebrate. Still. At least he has been declared guilty.

  6. I echo Joanne but wonder what the sentence will be and why he should be allowed to vote or run...

  9. Proud of and grateful to the jury. I know there’s disappointment to come, but this is cause for a celebration.

  10. Three cheers that the orange idiot is undone and found guilty. Surely he cannot now continue his presidential campaign. I hope he's put away for a very long time - 4 years for every count, isn't it?

    1. He'll continue. We can hope he'll end in jail.

  11. Stupid question from an outsider - can it still run for presidential office again?

    1. It seems so. Massive loophole in the law. It seems this is something the Founders never thought could happen.

  12. Like everyone else I rejoice in the verdict. Given his disrespect for the system, his repeated fines for breach of the gag orders, his other convictions, and the fact that he is facing multiple other trials, if he does not go to prison, as would any other citizen in similar circumstances, the system is still not working. Anyway, the appeal is going to drag it out a whole lot longer.

    1. Yes, death threats and harassment are certainly trying. They're free to speak now, but I hope they protect themselves.

  14. I saw that video of everyone cheering in the bar. Let's hope the majority of voters feel the same way!

    1. And that includes not criticizing Biden! We desperately need this win and I'm not tolerating any backsliding and oh, he shoulda stepped aside stuff. That said, now we party, tomorrow back to work to gotv!

    2. I read something that that's an altered video, that it was actually about some sport event but I loved it anyway. all those people cheering!

  15. Yet, as a convicted felon he can still be president. Something is wrong there. But, yes, I was elated when I heard the verdict.

    1. The founders were a bit naive here and there. Didn't realize they had to spell that out. States have laws against convicted felons running.

  16. the republican senate had two chances to bring him to justice and refused to do it so the People did it. and once again we have to rely on the People to prevent him from taking office a second time because the republicans will not abandon him.

  17. A lot of people will still vote for him, though, which to me makes them guilty too.
