May the Fourth be with you!

 Happy Star Wars Day

In other news, the Friday knitting group was just two of us, so I admired the latest grandchild pictures, she continued on the sweater you've seen before and I continued my technicolor spiral sock.

Talk ranged over spacing of children, friends with kids ten years apart, weather, book group selections, unreasonable freecyclers, people who request a change of time/day for established groups, nonworking public clocks, and knitting sleeves.

The weather is cold again so there will be spaghetti and meatballs in future forecasts.

Happy day, everyone, enjoy your weather whatever it's about.

    1. Always. And there are more that escaped me while I was writing.

  2. There used to be clocks on buildings around town but not any more. I miss them.

    1. The few timepieces I see in public are usually digital displays, not as scenic.

  4. Loved those Star War films.. and as I had a child in my year 6 class whose father owned the local cinema, he gave me a reduction on the tickets and I treated my class to see it when they were leaving.

  5. I’d love to be there for those conversations! The span between my mother’s eldest sister and her youngest sister was 18 years. My grandparents practiced pregnancy as a means of birth control.

    1. My eldest brother was 20 years older than I. We were talking about friends who had long intervals, like 8-10 years between children, for various reasons. One friend of mine had a 20 year old, a 10 year old and a newborn.

  6. we are big Star Wars fans and when the first movie came out our daughter was 6 weeks old and we took her with us to see it. sat in the last row by the exit in case I had to step into the lobby quickly but she slept through the whole thing, didn't utter a peep.

  10. I was wondering what to eat tomorrow and you reminded me that I can have spaghetti. I love it!
Believe it or not, I've never seen any of the Star War films.

    1. Definitely go for the spaghetti. Not too tiring to fix, and you know you'll enjoy it. I saw the first one because our son was six and we were obliged to take him. I loved R2D2 and C3PO. After that I didn't see any.

  12. One of the churches here has chimes that sound the hour (maybe half hour too, come to think of it). They're a delight to hear but maybe not so much for those who live right close to the church. We have one public clock in front of the town hall which only serves as an ornament because it's never the correct time. Star Wars fan here too.

    1. I wonder if neighbors of the church tune out the sound after a while, like people with chiming clocks?
