Today in the mailbox
This is why I support the USPS workforce. Marva has been a wonderful friend for years, knows everyone's names and their pets' names. Really cares about the people on her route. Some other part of town is about to get very lucky.
News, views, art, food, books and other stuff, with the occasional assist of character dolls. This now incorporates my art blog, which you can still read up to when I blended them, at https://beautifulmetaphor.blogspot.com. A very personal note from your mailperson, so nice.
ReplyDeleteLovely way to honor clients.
ReplyDeleteback when I lived in the city we had a great mailman and then he retired and our route became a training route with constantly changing mail carriers. drove the dog crazy. our dog knew our old regular carrier since she got to know him as a puppy and he would/could come into the yard since our mailbox was on the house. after he retired we had to put the mailbox on the fence because the new carriers wouldn't brave the barking dog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful note. Makes me remember the entire world isn't insane.
ReplyDeleteThat is sad. I hope that your new mail carrier becomes a friend too, as Marva makes new friends on her new route. Bless her.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely note, but sad nevertheless. I wonder why they felt the need to change things. We change mail delivery people with the weather it seems.
ReplyDeleteI expect people are retiring, transferring, etc. This peaceful little town is a prized Post office situation.
