Soon, this will be here, from a friend who moved away but keeps in touch
Meanwhile, speaking of boosts, look at the sudden shoots of the pony palm
It's new and sudden and exciting. This is after years of growing taller but not showing interest in multiplying. The big stems are the established ones, and here are kittens.
This means the light is increasing though I can't say I've noticed, but the plants have.
Happy day everyone, notice stuff!
The puzzle answer is
TOUCAN
But you smart folks got that right off.
So cool that your pony palm has new shoots all of a sudden!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? It's news to me that it can do this.
DeleteJudging by the extra tufts of fur, I think our cat has noticed the increasing light.
ReplyDeleteSpring shedding soon
DeleteDo those pony palms decide to sprout like that once they have filled the pot perhaps? First snow drops have finally appeared here.
ReplyDeleteI think that might be it. The parents are bulging the sides of the pot.
DeleteThis not smart folk didn't even try!. Very good friend you have, the yarn looks very nice. I am not familiar with a pony plant but I can tell I'd like it. I'm not great with house plants.
ReplyDeleteIt's a really pleasing shape, doesn't get too big to get round. Maybe the truly smart folk didn't try the puzzle!
DeleteTo be honest, I had no idea how ponytail palms multiply and I've never seen it! How incredibly cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd what nice yarn and what a sweet offering.
That pony tail palm makes me so happy. I would love one, but we don’t have room for any more plants. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteWell, think about it..
DeleteExcellent fibers! Soft and resilient cotton! Great colors!
ReplyDeleteI specially love the colors, and I'm looking forward to working with them.
DeleteWow that palm is amazing. I love the colors of your yarn. Seems like a lot of us blggers are making yarn works right now. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYes,fiber arts are big in winter here
DeleteThe colours of the yarn are lovely. What a nice surprise from that palm!
ReplyDeleteLovely! After years of seemingly nothing happening except shedding a few bottom fronds.
DeleteI love the colours. And that yarn will be oh so soft.
ReplyDeleteSpring is definitely coming to you. Our summer has been very mild this year. So I’m dreading the thought of what winter will be like
Spring's still over the horizon. First we get through February and March. We've had blizzards in April! But I hope anyway.
DeleteSuch pretty yarn that will translate beautifully into 'intimates' for you. Like others, I had no clue that pony palms would sprout babies although I suppose it stands to reason that they should.
ReplyDeleteThis palm has been with me for years, so I guess it was in no hurry. I like the yarn a lot, really looking forward to it.
Deletevery pretty colors in the yarn. I have not had a pony tail palm but your green thumb is working!
ReplyDeleteCathy
I do very little for my plants, mainly I leave them alone!
DeleteLovely yarn for a better than wash clothes project. Happy knitting.
ReplyDeleteYarn makes everything better. A bit like bacon.
ReplyDeleteThat's a new comparison!
DeleteOh, there's more daylight, alright! Evening chores no longer begin (what seems like) 15 minutes after morning chores are finished!
ReplyDeleteNot being out early and late, I hadn't noticed!
