Yesterday I suddenly felt like making a Tiny Tapestry, hauled out my lovely handmade and signed Hokel handheld loom, and here's what happened
Still on the loom in case I feel like making another little house on the same warp.
The plants have been repatriated next door, except the bromeliad is staying here and I'm free cycling my spider plant.
Let's hope for a better year coming up.
Happy New Year everyone, thank you for taking part here this year, and we'll continue in the new year which is already here in the Southern hemisphere.

Wishing you all the best in 2024, Liz!
ReplyDeleteThank you. And thank you for your blog. Happy new year.
DeleteI don't think too many of us will be waving a sad farewell to 2023, but it is good to be able to wave at all.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm happy I'm vertical and waving! Happy new year, AC!
DeleteYour loom is an inspiration, just the right size. I love the possibilities and the little house. I also love coming here. A maker f things, my favorite! Have a splendid new year.
ReplyDeleteI love my hokel, designed and made by a master. I'm glad you enjoy this little blog, and I wish you a Happy New Year.

ReplyDeleteCute little house.
I saw a YouTube video where the crafter weaves rope around a cardboard box. I though of you seeing that. She hot blues rope pieces to the top edge, and then weaves in the rope around the sides.
Weaving on YouTube is a whole adventure, all those ideas. I do like watching people make things.
DeleteWishing you a wonder-full 2024, Liz. Thanks for all your comments on Comptonia this year - much appreciated. And here's hoping for moderation in 2024. In weather, if in nothing else.
ReplyDeleteModeration is a good wish! Happy Moderate New Year!
DeleteWishing you (and us all) a better 2024. Wouldn't it be great if, like that cat, we could have just 2023 off the shelf?
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of us feel that way about this year. Onward! Happy New Year to you and SG.
DeleteI would take your spider plant if I were close! (Dave is glad I'm not close. :) )
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I listed it this morning at 7.30am. Picked up at 9.30. Several possible takers, and it went to someone I knew would show promptly, so it was only outside a few minutes. She's happy.
DeleteHappy New Year!
That cute cat had my idea - - tossing 2023 off the shelf and forgetting about it.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed new year, filled with all positive things!
Thank you, Jon. Your year can definitely be improved on in 2024. Happy New Healthy Year.
DeleteI love that Snoopy quote, it's perfect for old folks like me. Happy New Year, hopefully it will be better, but then...elections and all that.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Liz, and a happy and productive new year to you.
DeleteAfter reading the '123123' I now can't get Lawrence Welk out of my head. Thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteI think most of us are rather glad to knock '23 off our respective shelves, but somehow I wonder if '24 will be much better, particularly with the hooferfaw that's going to be swirling over your elections.
I plan to enjoy as I go without worrying too much about November.
DeleteI didn't even think about 123123 - how cool is that?
ReplyDeleteIt's fun, isn't it? Do one good thing came out of this year
DeleteSo, not do, arghgh
DeleteI can't wait to see the finished piece! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteStick around!
