Lovely mail lately, starting to look festive around here. Note one of the cards is a handmade and stitched artwork. Thank you!
And the latest newsletter from CSJB included a shoutout.
Yesterday's misfits box was very basic
And in the course of breaking down and tying up the misfits box for the recycle, the Leaning Tower of Sisal happened.
Symbolizing the eternal human struggle for permanence, defeated by the inexorable destructive powers of nature. Bear with me, I get a bit carried away in the presence of Art.
Happy December, everyone. This is when I start to think of all the Sagittarians, to wish them happy birthdays, Quinn, Gary, Janee, Tarang, Mare, Anthony, for a start. Happy trip around the sun, everyone.
It is lovely to be appreciated and you deserve it too!
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly nice to find in the newsletter.
DeleteBread and cheese - oh for decent bread and good cheese. Your little dools look fantastic. That is such a clever dedign.
ReplyDelete..deSign (bother)
ReplyDeleteIt's a design so simple that a beginning knitter can make them, and they still come out well.
DeleteYour little Izzie dolls are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThey're appealing, aren't they? Good design.
DeleteWhat a great way to thank the volunteers. Well deserved, Boud.
ReplyDeleteIt was a surprise, too. I was pretty sure they'd received this batch, but this was good.
ReplyDeleteThe acknowledgment is a nice surprise! These dolls are absolutely adorable, hands in pockets. I could be happy for some time with bread cheese and cocoa.
ReplyDeleteThe hands in pockets is an illusion, and I love it.
DeleteI know that you do not make your beautiful warm socks and gloves for the recognition but yes, nice to be recognized anyway.
ReplyDeletePrecious little dolls. I love how they are a little bit the same but each are still different.
They do vary in character.
DeleteI see that many people hang onto traditional Christmas cards. I gave up a number of years ago, maybe bc it costs more than a buck to send. Or maybe I am just an old poop. 😎
ReplyDeleteI get very few, and send even fewer!
DeleteToo late with White Rabbits. I had already sent you a pinch and a punch.
ReplyDeleteSnookered!
DeleteI like the leaning tower of sisal! It IS artful! Nice thank you "note" for your socks and gloves.
ReplyDeleteI had a feeling you'd appreciate the LT of S!
DeleteIn my opinion, as a “senior”, 😊one thing I really enjoy is getting “snail mail.” Your card with handmade and stitched artwork is a perfect holiday gift.
ReplyDeleteIt's a gift, yes, more than a card. And handmade is a big deal.
DeleteSo nice that they publicly recognize your donations and, as you say, nice to be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love the Izzy dolls and should really make some myself.
And...glad you liked your card!
I love my card! And you could easily make these dolls.
DeleteThe tower of sisal has my untangling fingers itching!
ReplyDeleteIt's just a tower of string, no tangles.
DeleteLove the little dolls and the newsletter mention.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThought of you last night! You and the egg you forgot. I was making banana muffins. Had put in all the ingredients. Mixer going. Butter, sugar, eggs, sour cream, flour, etc. Gee. This batter seems awfully thick. And not much of it! THEN. Looked over there and saw the unpeeled bananas! The muffins turned out fantastic. Close call!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the bananas are important in banana muffins!
DeleteThe Izzies are amazing. I loved seeing how they come together in the previous post.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting, Mitchell! There's a story behind the original Izzy dolls, you might like to check it out.
DeleteI'm working my way through. I'm still in 2008!
DeleteI'm certainly impressed that you're interested enough to try that! Thank you.
DeleteLaughing hard at the leaning tower of sisal!
ReplyDeleteHey, it's serious Art Stuff!
DeleteThese little dolls are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThank you, they're a nice little project or ten..
