  1. Yes - thank you, President Zelenskyy. An inspiring and courageous leader. I was appalled by his reception here.

    1. Yes, such courage, met with such disrespect.

  4. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour on the part of Trump and Vance. This is their "diplomacy" and "foreign policy" in action.

  5. Despicable regime...Have you any ideas for those individuals in this regime standing up for Ukraine?

    1. Display the Ukrainian flag, message their embassy with support. Message legislators who support Ukraine. Some of us have been doing this for three years, since the invasion.
Support and buy from artists working in Ukraine. They can be found.

    2. I have done some of this. Looking for artists is a great idea too.

    3. Yes, I'm not surprised. You're a quiet activist.

  6. It was just horrible. I saw it live and couldn't believe my eyes.

  7. I agree that there are no words to come close to the sheer disrespect that was shown to the Ukraines. I couldn't sleep last night altering between despair and sheer fury.
You mentioned supporting artists from the Ukraine...don't know if you remember the ornaments I cross stitched a couple years ago (Nutcrackers and retail shops) - I got the patterns from a wonderful Ukrainian designer. Now I must go and look again to see if she has anything new available.

  11. I couldn't bring myself to watch it. I only read about it, and that was enough.

    1. I agree. Just knowing it happened is bad enough.

  12. I was impressed at his ability to keep his head. He was being goaded to behave badly, but he never rose to the bait. He never said one word that could be twisted. He gave some amazing interviews after the fact. His coolheaded response was a contrast to the angry words and flailing about done by Vance and Trump. He made it very clear (in an interview with Fox News, no less) that he while he regretted that the talks did not go more smoothly, there would be no apology from him. He felt it was good that the US knows Ukraine unequivocable stance on this.
