Here's where blogista Anne will be next weekend, taking part in a singing rally
And today, here in NJ, warm sunshine, the daffodils bursting out, insects busy everywhere, emerging from underground, the Korean spice bush budding up, some cosmos maybe, self seeded from last year, first forsythia down the street. Lovely day.
And more women's art, from the Fils et Aiguilles blog
And, speaking of hand made items, this morning I sent off a pair of socks and two pairs of gloves to the knitting ministry, with a note taking a little leave of absence, but promising to return.
Happy day, everyone, so many reasons to keep going and stay joyful. Now I'm off to sit on the deck, to read and to watch and listen to birds.
I'm hoping to attend a protest next Saturday too! I've been having some vertigo issues and it's certainly rotten timing!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
DeleteThank you, Boud! And may I highjack the comments to announce an event a bit closer to your home(s)? here it is,also next Saturday: https://handsoff2025.com/
ReplyDeleteNow off to practise "If I had a hammer": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO39e5Uznu4

Go you, Anne! This blog has an international following, but I think US blogistas will be taking part.
DeleteBy the photos, you did get out and about, and the weather looks ok.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was warm, and today it's cooler again, maybe not for sitting out.
DeleteEnjoy the warmth and sunshine, and a bit of relaxation.
ReplyDeleteI really did. Lovely wind and sun, everything waking up.
DeleteLooks like your spring has definitely sprung.
ReplyDeleteAll those plants waking up look lovely
I'm hoping for reseeding, since I Mau not be able to get seeds in containers this year, but we'll see.
DeleteWill be with her in spirit!
ReplyDeleteLovely signs of spring around your place.
Is that called tatting? Whatever it is it is beautiful. :)
I know you will be there, singing along! The embroidery is jours d'anglin. It's a kind of drawn threadwork.
DeleteEvery day brings a little more unfurling of spring.
ReplyDeleteYes, the trees are greening up now, too.
DeleteSavour Spring!
ReplyDeleteThis year seems particularly good for the daffodils, all multiplying.
DeleteEnjoy the birds and your time outside. It is cool here today and Miss Mercy and I must take ourselves back to bed.
ReplyDeleteToday's cooler, probably not a sitting outside day.
DeleteThere will be no going outside here! Everything is coated in about an inch of ice - trees and branches down everywhere. Our power was out for about five hours yesterday and has been threatening to go out ever since. Typing fast in case the power goes out again.
ReplyDeleteNo signs of spring there, I see.
DeleteGreat blossoming things in your area! The pear tree blossoms are turned to leaves, and I've just found one cherry tree in my limited travels by car. Rain predicted here and very welcome against the wildfires. Daffies are all drying up even.
ReplyDeleteMy daffodils are all starting to bloom and it does help my spirits.
ReplyDeleteAnd they have scent, a plus.
DeleteSoak in all the sweetness of spring you can. I am trying extra hard to do that this year.
ReplyDeleteYes, this year particularly.
DeleteWe are having desperately needed rain. I also will be with the protesters in spirit.
ReplyDeleteGood, on both counts.
DeleteDaffodils are always such a joyful sight.
ReplyDeleteAnd more each year, even better.
DeleteAll the protest gatherings have been very good. I'm sponsoring potties.
ReplyDeleteVery practical support! Go you!
DeleteI would love a singing rally. Protest songs have such power. Pete Seeger's banjo said "This machine surrounds hate and forces it to surrender".
ReplyDeleteGlad that you had a walk and deck time before spring cooled down again. Your spring flowers, seedlings and buds are all looking very optimistic.

It was a lovely day, everything looking cheerful, and a warm wind. Yes, singing is powerful, and we can all do a bit even alone in our houses!
DeleteI'm planning on singing This Land is My Land..
