Collect cherry tomatoes for ripening.
Turn two heels, socks, that is.
Finish hemming the vest.
Read a Hamish Macbeth.
Listen to a Fethering mystery.
Look at my backyard on my walk.
Admire the beauty of lichen, both sides
Think about the wisdom of Richard Feynman, who made physics a bit clearer to the likes of me.
Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even realize that today was Labor Day until yesterday when it was pointed out to me by one of my children.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your planned activities!
It sounds like a busy but enjoyable day, Boud.
ReplyDeleteDon’t labor or labour too hard on Labor or Labour Day. You’ve Americanized completely. I once vowed to not use the ‘our’ endings, but I found that I simply could not.
ReplyDeleteAC after spending three quarters of my life in the US it's not surprising I use the accepted spellings. I've been doing it for sixty years!
ReplyDeleteProgress report: tomatoes collected, heels turned. Now to roast chicken for a chicken, mash, steamed carrots meal. A bit warm, but oh well.
sounds like a great plan for the day. So far I have dusted my bedroom, stripped my bed, cleaned the little bathroom, and plan to vacuum the other half of the house that didn't get done Saturday. This is Labor Day, right?
ReplyDeleteEllen, I don't think you and I have a good grasp of the concept of taking a day off!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a pretty busy day! How much did you achieve?
ReplyDeleteYou made short work of your list! I did laundry and roasted some vegetables. Not too much labor.
ReplyDeleteGood to have plans but I've had to learn to be flexible because as the saying goes...the best laid plans of mice and men are bound to go awry (or something similar). No matter how your plans panned out, hope you had an enjoyable day.
ReplyDeleteI love that painting. Why have we not heard more about Juliette Wytsman?
ReplyDeleteProbably because she's one of many women artists shouted down, refused salon space, ignored. It's a long history of white male stuff, business as usual.
