In my new robe

I had read this haiku the other day, forgotten about it, then upcycled the sweater. Centuries after he wrote, his words may have unconsciously directed that idea. Cool.
News, views, art, food, books and other stuff, with the occasional assist of character dolls. This now incorporates my art blog, which you can still read up to when I blended them, at https://beautifulmetaphor.blogspot.com. ReplyDeleteI didn't understand the sweater.... But the haiku is so true.
ReplyDeleteI often change clothes to work for me, like cutting open a sweater to make a jacket, which then feels entirely new and different.
DeleteAnd yes, you do feel different in different gear. I'm puzzled by tha fashion for wearing exactly the same outfit every day to work. Buying several of each component, looking tge same all the time.
Enjoy!

How lovely, a personal poem! Thank you.
DeleteI never took to haiku. It I like this one.
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to read Basho and find he has a nice sense of humor. This one is very serious and funny at the same time.
