Urgent. Baby in detention center

This child has not seen a doctor. He and his mother must be released. For Juan, this may be life or death.

Please let's all call. This information is from Jess Craven newsletter Chop Wood Carry Water, a reliable source. Anyone may call. From anywhere.

  1. How very sad - and beyond maddening. How can those morons justify this cruelty.

  2. children haven't created the situations they find themselves in - compassion is a mark of civilized society. Can they receive visits from medical professionals if one was to volunteer?

    1. One? Dozens of pediatricians are willing to go in. that's the point of calling. To bring pressure on ICE to let them in or let little Juan with his mother out. They're deliberately being denied even basic care, hygiene, food. Many laws broken.

    1. Thank you so much for the update. Praying he'll recover. Pressure works.

  4. I’ve read in the comments that the baby is now at the hospital.
It breaks my heart and makes me so angry.
Actually the state of the world right now is probably what’s keeping me awake at night. Feeling useless doesn’t help either.

  5. I see from the comment above that the baby has been taken to the hospital. The cruelty of the current administration knows no bounds. If the baby had died in detention, they would have blamed the mother.

    Love,
    Janie

  6. I can't understand why anyone would still be supporting this awful administration. So much cruelty by them for no good reason.

  7. This is the second baby in this same center. Amalia (18 months old): Hospitalized for 10 days in late January with life-threatening respiratory failure (pneumonia, COVID-19, and RSV). After being returned to Dilley on January 28, a lawsuit alleges ICE confiscated her prescribed medications and medical equipment, denying her care for nine days. Also there is a measles outbreak as well. confirmed in late January, which has led to medical isolation and restricted movement for the approximately 1,100 detainees, including many children. When U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro found the facility’s medical wing completely empty, with no nurses or doctors present during the day. I'm sickened to my core that people in general, but especially our congress has allowed concentration camps (again) in the US. How do these people live with themselves? How can they go home to their own families and not feel any kind of remorse, or empathy or kindness to the people they are supposedly looking after. Thank you for this post. PS everything I wrote has been fact checked.
