The thanksgiving cactus is budding up nicely, just in time.
And I'm up for a quiet day, cannellini and chard soup, roast cheesy potatoes, jigsaw puzzle, all planned.
And reading is appropriate for the day
I'm thankful I'm able to do what I do, and for the generous presence of all you blogistas! If it's just Thursday where you are, happy day anyway. Or if it's Friday, same, same.
Your thanksgiving cactus is looking very happy indeed.
ReplyDeleteI’m a bit worried about mine. All the humidity might be bad for them. And to all the other plants too
Let's hope they adapt.
DeleteNot quite Friday here yet, a couple of hours away yet. Blogistas I love and I think I will use the word.
ReplyDeletePlease do! With my compliments.
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Boud.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for the sun today!
I should think you are, glad you're seeing it.

ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving, dear woman. I consider you a friend and a friend for whom I am grateful. I might work on my sorely neglected jig saw puzzle today myself.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and happy tday to all the Moons.
DeleteThat is a pretty smart and timely cactus.
ReplyDeleteOddly, it seems to know the calendar.
Deletehave a wonderfully quiet and pleasant day today.
ReplyDeleteThank you. There's a lovely gentle rain falling.
DeleteStill no sign of any buds on my cactus but at least I've kept it alive for a year which I consider a great accomplishment. All the same, I'd like some flowers. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your HS.
ReplyDeleteThe cactus may surprise you yet. Thank you for the wishes.
DeleteSounds like you have a peaceful Thanksgiving planned. The best kind!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! Happy tday to you, Leigh, and thank you for your endlessly interesting blog.

DeleteThankful for you in the world! We’re waiting for our pizza to be delivered.
ReplyDeleteSame for you and SG. Happy pizza!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and thank you for being here.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you, e! Happy thanksgiving to you and Mercy.
DeleteTis Friday here but happy Thanksgiving, anyway! There is a lot about your country that I am glad we don't have (orange people and gun crime for starters) but I do wish we would adopt Thanksgiving. No gifts. Doesn't need to be religious. Just a day to gather with loved ones and be grateful. The world could well be a better place.
ReplyDeleteI love thanksgiving, no presents, no shopping for gifts, no decorating unless you create a cornucopia, just a lovely dinner with family and friends, messaging of good wishes, a lot of pleasure. This year we really needed it.
DeleteNow I am without cat I should look for a Christmas cactus for my empty window seat.
DeleteShe's already in a new home? That does free you up for plants, yes. Flowering plants are great. Maybe you'll also get a Christmas poinsettia?
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving The First, Boud. It sounds like a lovely peaceful day was had. Now you have Thanksgiving The Second coming up, and you already have that well-organized. I agree - it's (by far) my favorite holiday too.
