Monday bee working in the squash blossom

This is when I believe I planted something, when the bees show up to work in it. Bees all over the squash blossom today.

While my breakfast oatmeal simmered on the stove, I cleaned and refilled the bird bath, put out suet in the feeder.

Now we're all ready for another hot day.

  2. The bees and other flying pollinators LOVE the Candy Roasters! I've had a hard time taking a picture of a flower without some sort of insect in it :)

    1. We have hives on a nearby farm, well within range of bees in my yard, so they load up and go!

    1. There's a recipe for battering and frying squash blossoms but I don't like to sacrifice future fruit to make it.
