Pi Day and Misfits

In countries which write the date as month then day, March 14, 3.14, it's Pi Day. Celebrate accordingly!

My pi Day cactus is booming

Meanwhile, around here, it's Thursday and Misfits Day, speaking of pie and other foods.

Lovely Haleem arrived on the dot

And here's the doings. Yogurt and blueberries for desserts and I'll make yogurt dough for pasties stuffed with potato, carrots and scallions. Eggs tomatoes and cheese in house for those baked things I make, which I called Welsh rarebit. That is until I got a storm of criticism, wrong name, wrong name, like it mattered, which cracked me up.

Cannellini beans for I dunamany uses, all good.  Spinach for adding to soup and pasties.

All good! Happy π day everyone!

Today's activism was messages to both my senators demanding they vote NO on the cr cloture.

  1. Pi day will never work for us with our date expression.
I am curious, do you tip Haleem or similar people at Christmas, or at some other important date?

    1. I tip the drivers every time. Misfits guarantees that the whole tip goes directly to the driver.

  2. LOVE the pink truck. I've been making homemade yoghurt and dough with it for the last few weeks and I LOOOOOOOOVE it. What a true treat and so easy. Wishing you a yummy weekend ahead. Cheers, Ivy.

  3. I make welsh rarebit occasionally, but I doubt mine conforms to international standards!

  5. What a lovely pack of goodies...and just look at those beautiful eggs! I keep hearing how expensive they are, but I haven't used up some that I have. Need to bake perhaps.

    1. The eggs are lovely. Free range, sturdy shells, golden yolks that stand up. Real eggs!

    1. I don't think I've ever heard it called a pie, true.

  7. I think you should make a special little apple and blueberry pie. Just for you.

  8. Today is my son in law's birthday. And he is a math teacher. Pi Day is perfect for him, LOL. And he does receive a lot of pie.

    1. That's so appropriate all around. I expect he know more of the numbers than 3.14, too.

  9. Our Boud is living dangerously once again (canned beans - the suspense!).
Could you, for those of us who are not in the US, explain what 'cr cloture' is? Curious mind needs to know.

    1. Stay tuned on the cr! Yes, I now open beans ahead of time, just to know what I'm dealing with.

  11. I only noticed this at the very end of the day yesterday (which was our 14th). We can understand the concept - especially as there will never be a 31/4!

    1. So true. I get caught every year expecting 31 days in February, so March falls on me before I know it.
