Spoke too soon

After coughing most of the night, I'm wiped out. Food not appealing. And I'm not eager to expose Handsome Son to whatever I've got.

 So this scene

with the table laid, was a bit premature. Postponing and resting instead.

But I did enjoy this last evening

Happy day everyone, do what we can!

  1. Oh too bad, Boud! I hope whatever you've caught will pass quickly. Not the Christmas you envisioned, but have a good one anyway!

  2. It seems to me that this Christmas has been one of strange and unhappy events for our blog community this year. I am so sorry to hear you're still sick. I had a feeling when I read your post yesterday that you might not be as well as you thought. Rest, rest, rest.
    Your table awaits...

  5. Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't well, but it's best to postpone rather than expose Handsome Son. We're not going to #1 son's either - snow storm still wreaking havoc with the roads so staying home seems to be the best course of action.
    Sending you get well hugs.

  7. A restful Christmas to you, Boud. Wish I could ship you some Lemsip, which I just learned about from Steve R's blog. Or chicken soup. In lieu of either - big hugs and recuperative thoughts.

  11. Sorry to hear it! As Ms Moon said, it seems the Gods have been toying with many of us this year. (Well, she didn't say Gods, but same idea.) Take care of yourself. You can celebrate any time. :)

  12. Honey and fresh lemon in hot water works wonders for coughs and colds. Comforting as well as healing. Hopefully it will work its wonders for you. Get well soon

  14. Hope your feeling better soon.
You can have a get together with handsome son some other time.
I think we all concentrate too much on Christmas. It’s A day. We can get together with our loved ones anyday. Rest up

  15. What a shame but at the end of the day it would have been a waste if you were too crook to enjoy it and Handsome Son got sick. Something to look forward to.

  16. Aw, that’s too bad. Glad you found a good, old movie. We ended up watching a new one — Elvis. It was unplanned but that is what happened. It was very good but not a feel good movie.

  17. Staying in and taking care of yourself was a food decision and hope you are feeling better soon. Your choice of movie to watch was a very good one. We also rewatched it this holiday and appreciated the final scene the most.
