Today's the only day Handsome Son is free to come and serve us lunch for my upcoming birthday, very early this year, and he refers to it as pre-lated, opposite of belated!
Cloths thrown over puzzle pieces, table ready for lunch, mystery menu.
Remember a while back I fancied making myself some paleolithic leather shoes, but my leather budget wasn't up to it? Here's a more modern pair, just window shopping in the museum here.
And today there's some art I thought you'd like, including a shot of the artist's hand at work
Those ancient Roman shoes are indeed stylish! Enjoy your mystery meal!
ReplyDeleteAnything that's served up while I sit at the table will be great.
DeleteYou are correct!
DeleteThose shoes! I wonder who the first person (woman) was to look at footwear which had to be practical to serve its purpose and thought, "Hmmm...what if I did a little of this and a little of that to make them more fancy." And oh, how amazed all of her community must have been to see the beginnings of style in shoes! And immediately began to gussy up their own.
ReplyDeleteSame with clothing, of course. Humans are amazing in some regards!
Happy pre-lated birthday!
I dabbled in pen and ink drawings for awhile. Then I started my etched glass business and that style translated perfectly into the artwork for etched glass.
ReplyDeleteHappy pre-lated birthday.
Yes, fine line on paper or glass, similar appeal and probably skills.
Deletehappy Birthday, every day that you are alive! Clever way to deal with the puzzle , I hope it managed to stay put!
ReplyDeleteWell, the puzzle pieces won't get turned over, after the trouble I took to put the pieces right way up. Thank you for the good wishes.
DeleteVery clever to cover the puzzle with a cloth! Smart. I know you will thoroughly enjoy the day with your son. The dolls, I look forward to a little rowdy. I do like the art.
ReplyDeleteI think that art will appeal to your love of the perfect detail!
DeleteCreative solution to puzzle pieces on luncheon table. Yay you! Have a wonderful, cozy pre-lated birthday lunch with your wonderful HS.

That's the plan. Miserable weather, so this is a good plan.
DeleteHappy pre-lated birthday. That fine line drawing very detailed but the panel of 6 is almost overloaded - too much to try and take in.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a photo montage of six separate works. Thank you for the good wishes!
DeleteHappy Birthday and I hope you enjoyed that lunch! Celebrate all month.
ReplyDeleteI did, I did! Thank you!
DeleteEarly greetings! Pre-lated is a great term! Hope it’s a great day! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you and thanks to Handsome Son for pulling it together.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely early birthday celebration
ReplyDeleteIt’s like having two birthdays, only don’t count any of them lol
Happy pre-Brithday. 😀
ReplyDeleteHappy pre-lated birthday! I love Claire Leach's drawings. So detailed and precise. That shoe WOULD make a fantastic print!
ReplyDeleteI can see treading in mud just to see the results.
DeletePre-lated - I love that term! Shouldn't everybody celebrate multiple times?
