Cornbread seems to have happened

Aka don't ask me, I only work here.

However one thing is clear. Chili and cornbread for dinner tonight.

  1. Just read your last FOUR posts and I must say I admire your energy and doitnowism! I was so flattened today I cancelled my Occasional Helper, which I really don't like to do as he is indeed Occasional, but there wasn't a task set up that he could do without me, and I sort of crept around doing the feeding and nothing else all day. Oh well! I enjoyed reading about your chili-making as I used to make chili ALL the time when i lived in the Southwest, and still do now and then. Hmmmmm....

  2. I do have the huge advantage of being free of mobility and pain issues. So my energy isn't being used up in coping. I'm thankful for it, and wish it for everyone. As I type I'm taking care of a bowl of chili and a slice of cornbread..

  3. Cornbread - oh how I love thee. I can't remember the last time I had any and now I'm craving, big time.

  4. It was good. I cut way back on the sugar in the recipe, and I liked it. That and a bowl of chili has left me feeling like a python.

    1. I was surprised to find I already had some. Fortunately I keep all my grains and flours frozen or refrigerated, so I don't get any surprises when I use them.

  6. Thank you. I have to credit cast iron. It turns out lovely baked goods.

  7. I admire your energy, Liz, and the cornbread looks wonderful. I love the stuff but it doesn't love me anymore, so all I can do is admire it, which Im doing right now...

  8. It came out well, thanks to the cast iron pan, which never fails me. So last evening after a bowl of chili and a chunk of cornbread, I loafed about like a python. That stuff is filling. So consider that you delegated the cornbread to me
