New photo reminder of trans sisters and brothers, seeds and more

Swiped from Debra, She Who Seeks, to remind us all

Thank you, Debra and if I knew the creator, I'd credit them.

Today is about returning an item via UPS, and, while I'm out anyway,  going to the dollar store and seeing about some seeds for this year's flower containers.

So here's the display, smaller this year, no cosmos, no marigolds, but we'll survive.

The price is up from four packets for a dollar to a dizzy four for $1.25. So this year's garden, seeds, potting soil etc still totals a modest $25 or so. I can do this.

My chives finally gave out last year after many years, so I'll try a new start.  I may need to get marigolds from the local farm stand.

If I fill and place the containers ahead, I think I'll be able to get the planting and squirrel proofing done early May. Anyway that's the plan.

I would like a flower garden again this year. I have plans about walking, then sitting on the deck admiring my surroundings! Great ambitions.

Happy day everyone, always have plans of some sort, dream big. Sez the lady with three dollars in flower seeds..

  5. One of the things I have loved about my life is that at gatherings I can look around and see every beautiful color of the PRIDE rainbow represented, each as unique and their own person as could possibly be. Just as all humans are.
Those seeds will reward you all summer long.

  6. I'll bet that will be $3 well spent! I wish we could have flowers on our balcony but the RC wants veggies which I understand. He does allow me one hanging planter of flowers even though I know he'd prefer something a lot more edible.

    1. Maybe grow nasturtiums? They're pretty also edible!

  7. The chives startled me. We have had the same plant for probably more than 40 years, moved and transplanted twice, and one move was very long distance to a different climate zone. I shall keep my eye on it this year. I wonder if I should try to take a cutting of some such?

    1. Mine went for a couple of decades with a previous owner then me, and I guess it got tired out. Maybe you could try taking a division this year.

    1. This is the third year I've used them. Despite gloomy predictions, the last two years gave great germination. Cheap too! I think the name brands are charging a lot for the name.

  13. That’s a great new flag and totally behind it. Love everyone I say, love all our humanity. I long for the day when we won’t have divisions because people are considered different, that we will just be considered one in the human race. Always living in hope, my mantra. My daughter-in-law bought me a container for planting seeds, looking forward to growing some. Happy 1st of April to you Boud.
