Hello from Hippolyta
See far so good. We arrived at dark o'clock and I'm now in my room, recovering. I'm told I'll be standing and walking today. We'll see!
Anyway I'm here alive and not quite kicking but getting there.
Good to know you've arrived safely. i do wonder why the arrival time is so early, though, as nothing much seems to happen, apart from a constant stream of people from different disciplines asking your name, date of birth and home address! Better safe than sorry .
I investigated that. Turns out the arrival of the patient ignites a cascade of unseen activity, stocking the operating room, anesthesia prep, double-checking software and supplies of joints, staffing up, special room prep for patient, on and on. Meanwhile I was attendees by a parade of highly credentialed people checking to see if I remembered my name, date off birth, and the color of the engine driver's socks.
Bless you for being able to even so much as THINK about posting on your blog!! So glad all went well. Now just be a good girl and do what you should and I'm sending you good wishes for a speedy healing process.
So Helen has now been replaced, that’s good to hear. She was becoming a real pain 😊. Does her replacement have a name yet? Before you know it you’ll be home again home again jiggety jig - please don’t trip while you’re doing the light fantastic
I'm delighted to hear good news from Hippolyta. It is a surprise because it was (seemingly) so quick. Take care, don't try to run any races, and keep us updated when you can. Jon
What a happy surprise this morning! You must have set a record for FAST return to Blogland after surgery. Was thinking about you, wondering exactly how it was going, yesterday. Did not expect to find a post! Hope you are feeling as fine today as you were when you posted. I doubt you are dancing, though.

ReplyDeletePolly and I graciously thank you.
DeleteSo glad that part is done and dusted! Glad you have some trees and sky out your window. Thanks for letting us know you are okay. :) :)

DeleteDo happy to hear your doing well. Yes these days it’s all about getting you out of bed and moving. I hope your back to your crafty self soon
ReplyDeleteIt's a good way to recover, even if a bit rugged.
DeleteThank you for letting us know. It sounds like you'll walking soon.
ReplyDeleteI was walking a couple of hours after! Nowadays you do. On a walker.
DeleteGlad to read that you're alive and kicking!
ReplyDeleteWell, alive anyway!
DeleteWell that was quick -- or seemed so to me.
ReplyDeleteIt was a mad rush. So happy for my insurance and the excellent doctors who accept it.
DeleteSo Helen has now been replaced, that’s good to hear. She was becoming a real pain 😊. Does her replacement have a name yet?
ReplyDeleteBefore you know it you’ll be home again home again jiggety jig - please don’t trip while you’re doing the light fantastic
It might be a middleweight fantastic! Hippolyta, thanks to Mitchell, is her name, now shortened to Polly.
DeleteSo great to hear from you! Wishing an easy recovery.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'll take it.

ReplyDeleteYou're so generous, Jon, and caring. I won't be running for a while, but creeping around is okay too!
DeleteGood news. I hope the progress is rapid.
ReplyDeleteThank you and so do I!
DeleteFirst hurdle done - getting through the op! Onwards and upwards - like the view.
ReplyDeleteI think the view could be a bit better, but I'll take it.
Deletealways nice to have a room with a view. wishing you a good recovery
ReplyDeleteAll the patient rooms are on the edges of the buildings, enormous windows. Its a nice feature, plus trees.
DeleteYay! So far so good. Sending healing wishes across the miles! Take care, dear Boud.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear everything's gone well so far! Best wishes for a speedy recovery. That's a pretty inspiring view you've got there, LOL.
ReplyDeleteYes, another hive of medical activity! But there's a bit of sky.
DeleteI'm keeping you in my thoughts Boud!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you here. I'd like news of you.
DeleteHip, Hip, Hippolyta, and may your recovery be easy and uneventful! With a green haze of spring buds as part of that 'inspiring' view :-)
ReplyDeleteChris from Boise
Could do with improvement. The view, not Polly.
DeleteI am BEYOND IMPRESSED that you posted so quickly. Sending all good get well wishes!
ReplyDeleteIt seemed polite, since I was up to it.
DeleteGood news! You're probably dancing by now!
ReplyDeleteMore of a walker two-step than a tango, but it's okay.
DeleteHooray! Glad you are feeling well enough to post! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYes, today's the second day and a bit more rugged. But okay.
DeleteI'm glad to hear it went well and you're in recovery. Probably up and around by now!
ReplyDeleteYes, to some extent I'm walking and exercising.

ReplyDeleteSecond day is harder, but I'm glad I did it. Dancing consists of the Walker two-step
DeleteJust stopping by on this Friday morning. I was thinking of you and hoping all is mending. Take care.
