This is not a happy day. But let's stick together. We're worth it.
After reading Debra's comment above, I have nothing to add. This will help me make it through. I don't know you, Debra, but thank you for making sense of this day.
It looks pretty out your window. When I’m stifling hot I can look at it and help me fell cooler. We are all keeping you in our thoughts. Hoping it will work out ok
My Iraqi friend and I went to a MLK celebration in the Idaho Capitol Building today, and were heartened by the large and diverse mass of people celebrating human rights. You should have heard the roar of commitment when the speaker challenged us to not only dream of a better world, but to DO. Boud, you are a do-er and a pathfinder for many of us. Thank you for the example you set.
Thank you for your thoughts and uplifting words. I needed them after reading last night's news. The irony of yesterday's MLK day combined with what happened...well, it will go down in history.
Please read the comments before yours and see if your question is already answered! I've reluctantly deleted the anonymous option, because it was being abused.
It is a sad day today. Keep warm and busy.
ReplyDeleteThat's the plan.
DeleteAs stated by a meme I saw -- today is a day to celebrate a King, not a felon.
ReplyDeleteYes to that.
DeleteNot a happy day and all we can do is exactly what you're doing. It's sad that Martin Luther King day is being besmirched in such a way.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement. Best I can do today.
Deletea sad day I never thought I would see in my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteMe neither. Despite all our work and campaigning.
DeleteThe orange one is going to sign 200 executive orders today, I read. Chin up, everyone!
ReplyDeleteI'm ignoring that person.
Deleteit is a devastatingly sad day. A day to stay warm and consider the good many, such as MLK, have done.
ReplyDeleteYes, and remember we're not defeated. There's still good around.
DeleteBe like Michelle Obama. Boycott the inauguration. He'll go nuts if TV ratings are low. Celebrate the King instead.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I haven't had TV for many years. So that's an easy one.
DeleteOn such a day, a chicken in the pan looks good.
ReplyDeleteYes. Comfort food.
DeleteYes.
ReplyDeleteHold on!

ReplyDeleteYes, celebrate Martin!
DeleteExpect unusual flakes near the tropics and no, my post is not entirely a repeat. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteWhat I meant was I was going to reread it!
DeleteAs always Debra is right on.
ReplyDeleteHalf the country has a blanked over its head today to keep out the cold, the dementors, and ….

Thank you. Hope here,too.
DeleteYay, Debra. You nailed it. It was a tough day here as well.

ReplyDeleteChris from Boise
Thank you for your encouragement. I really need that right now.
DeleteVery concise blog post. I have been avoiding news casts.
ReplyDeleteGood plan. You'll hear bad news soon enough.
DeleteThank you for your thoughts and uplifting words. I needed them after reading last night's news.
ReplyDeleteThe irony of yesterday's MLK day combined with what happened...well, it will go down in history.
Yes, tough day all around.
DeleteNo, it's not a happy day. I like your minimalist approach.
ReplyDeleteIt was just about what I could handle. Better than wallowing.
DeleteI think I need to find that Chatsworth documentary! Hopefully it's on Britbox!
ReplyDeleteI found it on Freevee. It was made in 2012, three parts and I liked it a lot.
