Freecycle, what it is, how to find your local group
This is not a commercial for Freecycle, anyway, it's nonprofit, but a local friend reminded me that I'm often asked what the heck it is, since I bang on and on about it in here.

Is freecycle in your area busier than the Free section of craig's list? Our freecycle used to be very active and now it's just people asking for things. All the free stuff seems to be posted on craig's list.
Never had any experience of Craigslist. But the freecycle I use is very active indeed, mainly with offers, not many requests. I guess this varies with the region.
