Wednesday morning was cool and bright, and the plants, indoors and out, like it.
Lovely second blossom on the orchid.
Then a walk down to the pond, disturbing frogs
Home again to online chair yoga AARP style.
It went about fifty minutes and I shortened the poses here and there, a bit long for my stamina. She addressed practically every body part! It was pretty good. I modified some of the warrior poses, because of a bit of sciatic tenderness. But Wednesday I definitely got back to moving after no walk Tuesday.
Later afternoon tea and drawing on the deck.
Curry leaf plant in front of Japanese maple, groundcover.
Happy day, everyone, move it! Or don't. It's your body!
What a lush patio, and a lovely patio stroll to see it all. Then off to the pond, AND yoga! And here I thought Wednesdays were your rest-up days after Tuesday doings! Well done, you!
ReplyDeleteChris from Boise
This Wednesday was active -- also two visits from neighbors. And an evening online with friends.
DeleteBeautiful flowers and views. Your drawings are wonderful. You have such a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your words about the drawings, as one who knows about drawing. I hope your work is going on?
DeleteCooler weather after a hot spell enlivens everything and everyone.
ReplyDeleteWe're into another heatwave today.
DeleteI moved plenty today! three hours with three-year-old twins. You have beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a nice lie down is called for, if they're home again now.
DeleteYour plants are looking so good, in spite of very hot weather, and the pond looks like a lush place to walk, and disturb the frogs.
ReplyDeleteIt's shaded in the morning, great for walking before the heat of the day.
DeleteGorgeous hibiscus, morning glory and whatever that pink flower is! And your photo of the orchid captured the light so beautifully -- like a painting!
ReplyDeleteThe patio gets morning sun only, so plants don't bake. They like this. The pink flower is a zinnia. Orchids are photogenic!
DeleteI stopped my stretches while recuperating. I really need to pick up the habit again.
ReplyDeleteI've made two responses to this comment, both of which published then vanished. Trying again. I like exercise videos because they remind me to warm up, cool down and drink water. I forget all that otherwise.
DeleteGosh! your plants are pretty! I'm heading to my Zumba class today - it's fun to exercise to music and as long as we keep moving, it doesn't matter if we can't remember all the steps! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good approach.
DeleteThe deck is looking good! As for moving, it's always a good idea. I find that taking walks is keeping me sane right about now.
ReplyDeleteI've always walked daily, partly to keep up my spirits. It works.
DeleteLovely all, and especially the luminous orchid bloom!
ReplyDeleteThe shape is lovely, especially those horns.
DeleteI do love yoga - I am missing both my walks (the sun is getting up too late for me) and my yoga (teacher is away) - I am not the best instructor for myself, I am afraid!
ReplyDeleteMaybe YouTube yoga?
DeleteI remember that sound of frogs plunking into the water as you walked along the edge of the lake when I was a kid. :)
ReplyDeleteI "should" be doing chair exercises but I haven't been. I have only gotten so far as to save a folder of them on YouTube--ROFL! Good for you!!!
Keeping a folder of YouTube exercise channels is like buying a gym membership! You need to follow through, heh. But I bet a lot of people bookmark channels and will one of these days get around to exercising.
DeleteI admit I missed the butterfly until you pointed it out.
ReplyDeleteOnce you see it you wonder how you missed it at first.
ReplyDeleteI love how you sit a draw so beautifully outside the door. Lovely, Boud.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely summer activity. Try it!
DeleteI need to get back to stretches and finding my old notes from PT. I pulled a muscle this week and feel like I have to start back at the beginning!
ReplyDeleteIt does feel that way. It helps to get into the habit of stretching, if possible.
DeleteThe flowers are lovely. I’m glad the extreme heat hasn’t hurt them.
ReplyDeleteI have no choice but to move today. Little girls like grandma to play with them
The flowers appreciate afternoon shade on the patio. So do I.
DeleteI moved my bodacious self to the trash and recycling three times today before rain and lightening came along...no ambling today!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a bit of moving!
