I went online to my rally, and, when they had to disable visuals because of trolling, I took a picture of me in yellow sweater with my hand made No Kings sign.
This was seen briefly on my online rally but when they cut visuals, I posted it on Spoutible to boost the signal, and got quite a bit of response. In fact it went viral.
I did get the chance to speak, encouraged hope and resistance, and the organizer plans to follow us here, great addition if she does.
So here's me, wearing yellow, the requested color of the day, with sign.
Earlier I'd been out for a walk in a different direction, lovely cool crisp weather

And here's the flower container, better view
Happy day everyone, I hope you got to take part with the millions of us who made our feelings known.
I didn't take part, I'm in the wrong country, but I did think of all of you and hoped you would all be safe.
ReplyDeleteThen you took part, and thank you. Moral support is welcome.
DeleteWell done on your online rally! Thanks for the link to the Tuesday Zoom as well. Boise had a grand turnout, and I'm waiting to hear reports from friends in some of the smaller Idaho towns. (Just back from Colorado in time for the rally, and will catch up on your last several posts tomorrow). A lot of people stood up and spoke out today.
ReplyDeleteChris from Boise
Idaho is really coming through!
DeleteIt gives me hope seeing all the people coming out to protest. I and many around the world are right with you
ReplyDeleteSo much for people claiming there's no resistance, because they hadn't seen it in the (oligarch owned right wing) media!
DeleteYou looked great Boud. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWell, I was enthusiastic!
DeleteGreat photo. Thanks for representing!
ReplyDeleteOld but not dead!
DeleteGood for you for showing up in your way.
ReplyDeleteIt felt good.
DeleteIt was good to hear that the day went smoothly - at least, I haven't read of any trouble.
ReplyDeleteIt went brilliantly. No arrests reported by any major city at all.
DeleteYay you for taking part in whatever way you can in the demonstrations. I’ve really enjoyed hearing the rational comments of how people now are re-affirmed in their powers.
ReplyDeleteIt feels great. We can't stop now.
DeleteWell done. I hope it starts to change things for the better.
ReplyDeleteWe'll keep up the pressure with that aim.
DeleteYay you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Representing everyone who couldn't rally.
DeleteGood for you! I'm glad you could take part online. All resistance helps!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, boosts the signal.
DeleteYou look joyful! The mass turnout gives hope.
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to find a way to take part
DeleteYou are an inspiration to us all.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it prompts action
DeleteGood for you for turning out! I didn't realize online participation was an option, though I suppose I should have expected it.
ReplyDeleteI've been involved in a number of online rallies. Indivisible is very inclusive.
DeleteYou're a star, Boud! Well done!
ReplyDeleteWell, joyfully doing what I can.
DeleteWell done! Go, Boud, Go!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement. That helps keep me going.
DeleteI went to a rally. A lot of beeping from passing traffic, a good sign.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link.
ReplyDeleteI really feel as if this pushing might be doing some good.
