Wednesday was a joyful day, great election results. Even the sky agreed, and the cheerful ducks on the pond
And I did some visible mending on a favorite pair of socks I didn't make.
I used embroidery floss because the socks are a fine knit. They're more of a putty color than here, with bright orange darning. My repairs are always under the foot so they never show in use.
The general mood Wednesday among the people I hang out with was buoyant, to put it mildly. I planned to do no resistance, but I did message Schumer to stay strong, no surrender.
Happy day everyone, e is on a good health planning path, Mitch landed safely in NY, all's well, sez Ted and Big Ursy.

Yes, a lovely day after, in your beautiful sky and our drizzly one. Boise voters came through yet again (no statewide battles this year). Plus from the school district one town over: "Voters in West Ada’s Zone 3 picked a new face with an inclusive voice, after the district received national attention this year for ordering a teacher to remove a poster featuring multiracial hands and the words, “Everyone Is Welcome Here.” Teacher Meghan Brown took a decisive victory over incumbent Angie Redford, earning more than 60% of the vote Tuesday."
ReplyDeleteHarking back to yesterday's post (how do I get so far behind?!?) - never heard of brown cotton. More investigation to do.
Chris from Boise
Great news from Boise, thank you. Yes, people aren't having the T***p life.
DeleteThat's a wonderful neck cover. I don't do under the foot repairs in socks, I'm a bit "princess and the pea" type and feeling it while walking would irritate me far too much.
ReplyDeleteYou really can't feel repairs if they're done with the right tension. At least I can't. Thank you for the nice words about the neck gaiter
DeleteBeautiful photos and lovely creations.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteBeautiful autumnal scenes..to celebrate
ReplyDeleteIt looked like nature was glad we got a Dem governor in NJ!
DeleteWhile not my business, from far away, I was very pleased with election results. There is hope.
ReplyDeleteI think in today's world we're all each other's business so it does include you. And I'm glad you joined us in being happy with our results.
DeleteI hope the political tide will keep on rolling.
ReplyDeleteI think it will.
DeleteYes, much celebrating from the elections. Work ahead to be done as the GOP is now going to try everything it can. Where is our weakest link? Well, we who love our democracy will be awake to whatever they come up with.
ReplyDeleteAll true. But these successes have shut up the whiners for now, who said our resistance didn't work. It definitely worked.
DeleteThe photos of the pond and sky are natural magic! Love them!
ReplyDeleteThank you. The light was good for these shots.
DeleteThere is a good deal of rejoicing in UK over the results as we feel things are on the turn at last. The Orange One having a hissy fit is just icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteWe still have a way to go, but just now we're feeling good.
DeleteYes. I feel as if we all got a little hope.
ReplyDeleteMore than a little!
DeleteThe neck gaiter looks very stylish!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I don't know why I didn't start wearing it sooner.
DeleteVery nice neck gator and beautiful nature photos. The election results were very welcome.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that a great evening? Success after success. Thanks for the nice words.
DeleteI caught up with your last post about brown cotton weaving, beautiful weaving. I'm so glad that the democrats won everything. It seems that many people now have TRS (trump regret syndrome), as they should. There is hope again.
ReplyDeleteYour neck gaiter is quite beautiful, as is the pond.
It was so decisive. Now that people are experiencing the results of their choices they're changing their minds. Latino support has fallen off a cliff.
DeleteThe trees have been so beautiful here that I'm always amazed at the colors I get to see. We may have a bit of snow on Sunday/Monday but my phone says less than 2 inches so that's not bad...
ReplyDeleteStill rejoicing about the election results!
Snow? No! I always hope we don't get any before January. Yes, still dancing, and more good news keeps arriving.
DeleteIt does feel as if everything is changing. I like your shawl. I have
ReplyDeletetwo. When I am not wearing them, they serve as throws in the living room. Easy to grab in passing when I am walking out the door for a quick chore.
That's a good idea, leaving them out. If this hadn't been rolled neatly and shelved, I'd have been wearing it more.
DeleteYou still have some lovely color. And that sky is spectacular. Good news on your election!
ReplyDeleteNovember skies, I think it's the wind that makes them so interesting. I'm not a huge fan of our governor elect, but she's miles better than the alternative, who used to be just an old style Republican, then went full maga.
DeleteHave never seen a neck gaiter. Looks warm!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful day after!! :)
It's very adjustable because of the buttons. I'm quite pleased with the design.
DeleteI think those election results have given a feeling of hope to many, and not just in the US itself.
ReplyDeleteHopefully there's lots more joyful days ahead - both weather wise AND politically.
I notice in the Netherlands the far right leader lost his Parliamentary party power. I think the blue wave is growing back.
