Afternoon tea with Christmas cookies
Little pre Christmas gift of homebaked cookies. Can't let them go stale!
Oh yes, shortbread must be eaten right away. Giggled when I saw the pig though - is there a particular significance to that I wonder. Not that ANY of us would make pigs of ourselves choking down shortbread. Ahem.
Yes, I wondered about that. But my cleaning family are Czech and I think the pig is a lucky symbol for them at the holidays. You get candy pigs etc.. That's my story anyway.
What a thoughtful gift. Best get them eaten right away!
