Yet another snowstorm forecast today. In case this one, unlike the last two, arrives, here are the brave little snowdrops before they get buried.
These are the originals, growing for many years. The batch I planted a couple of years ago yielded one flower. Possibly chipmunks ate the bulbs.
It's snowing here right now and I am really, really struggling to get enthusiastic about a final round of checking on the livestock. So much ice, under so much snow, for so darned long. Piper and I walked down to the letterbox today for the first time in a few days, and her hind legs went out from under her more than once, while I was creeping along with two walking poles. It's just getting tiresome.
ReplyDeleteYour winter has been much more rugged than ours. We've had little snow and ice, mainly wind and cold. We keep having states of emergency called ahead of storms that don't materialize.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteThey were covered in snow about an hour after the pic. But they've emerged none the worse.
