Feeling much better Saturday, I did a series of sit to stands then went to the pond to watch ducks and foliage.
Home again I picked yet another bunch of flowers
And I came through on my plan to make oatmeal wraps.
Flax seed, so pretty. I ground some with the oats to make the flour for the wraps
Like here, then take away the spoon before it gets hot and you're, um, cooking with gas. No idea how I figured this out.
Then I needed to sort the artist statement. They wanted it personal, friendly, all that so I picked an old not so good painting to use as the background to write on
Done. Now I can take everything in tomorrow and be done.
*what it says:
I've been exhibiting art, solo and in groups for over 40 years. Many pieces are now in public, private and corporate collections, in almost every medium, monotypes to sculpture. I've offered workshops to all ages throughout the region and online.
In Plainsboro, I've been active in our art life for decades, since before the LAST library opened! I've helped found the Festival of the Arts, and founded the Plainsboro Artists group. It's wonderful to see the gallery and the group flourishing.
I'm showing in the exhibit a watercolor and chalk piece, Red Orchid, from a solo show I had here in the gallery some time ago. Then, to bring us up to now, there's an ink drawing I made as part of a series, in July this year. Some of that series has already gone to a private collection.

Gary's home, has been for a few days, back to calling from the store for advice, this time what are sweet peppers, are they sweet, or what. I explained just not spicy. He can't do spicy, so he needed to know.
Happy day everyone, when you don't know something, call and ask. A real friend won't think it's a dumb question. But she might point and laugh in her blog..no, she'll be nice.
Here's some accidental art, sun shining through red glass lamp base and other shadows making an interesting composition, dividing the space nicely.
Mlle. Fluffiere doubts this. She's an internet image, not my cat.
Anyway, Ten Four, older people will get the timely signoff reference

That’s really sweet of Gary to call you for advice about the sweet peppers. Thanks to his wife, our son started watching all the baking shows and now he gives me tips, lol! How the tide has turned! Sweet photo of Mlle. Fluffiere :) g great tip on the gas stove and really like your art, plus your accidental art. Happy weekend to you Boud :)
ReplyDeleteThat's funny, getting tips from your son! Your work is done. The weekend will be nice, thank you.
Deletep.s.also loved your meal and other photos :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that you are feeling better. Sorry for all the messages. My finger pusher is working faster than my brain today.
ReplyDeleteI know that oh, one more thing process! Never too many comments for me.
DeleteThe electronic ignition thingy can be replaced, my dad used to do that. When the stoves are made in the factory the cheapest possible part was installed and after a few weeks or months it would fail and Dad, being a gas fitter and working for the gas company, was sent to fix it. After a while, whenever he installed a new stove he straight away took out the cheap part and installed a better, stronger one.
ReplyDeleteIt can be replaced but I can't afford the several hundred dollars, yes I've checked. Meanwhile my spoon works free!
DeleteNot just a CV..a work of art!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's more interesting than a typed sheet, if harder to read.
DeleteBeautiful photos. That vision through glass wonderful. The wraps look good but much too much cooking for me. An excellent way to present your artist statement.
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd like the accidental art. You find it in your own life, too.
DeleteGlad to see you're back firing on all cylinders again.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't take long this time.
DeleteLove the painting you wrote on!
ReplyDeleteThe wraps look good.
I doubt if anyone will puzzle it out! But I like it.
DeleteI’ve never cooked with gas although I have suffered with it. Your spoon trick is cool and could help some.
ReplyDeleteThe spoon trick is saving me $$$ for a repair.
DeleteThat trick is brilliant. Thanks, I may need it at some time. Your not-so-good painting looked quite good to me. I'll have to try oatmeal wraps.
ReplyDeleteIt's a cool trick, don't remember how I stumbled on it. The painting is a bit meh, looks better written on.
DeleteI do love a good work-around.
ReplyDeleteExcellent way to present your artist statement- as art!
I think it's more enterprising than a plain sheet of facts. I like the spoon thing, too. You just don't touch it while the ignition is sparking -- there's a mild charge.
DeleteSounds like you are feeling much, much better and getting your energy back.
ReplyDeleteI tried but I can't read your artist's statement. It does look cool on the paper, tho.
Maybe I should type it out!
DeleteI added in the wording now.
DeleteSo glad you are much improved! Good tip on the spoon. I'll remember for future need!
ReplyDeleteJust one down day this time. Either I'm getting used to it or the vaccine is tired of me.
DeleteLovely artist statement!
ReplyDeleteThank you, it went over well.
ReplyDeleteGolly, it IS Ten-Four, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteDingdingding!!! We have a winner who got the joke, yay!
DeleteNice to see all your activities resuming!
ReplyDeleteI feel so much better now.
DeleteGreat idea for your art syatement - I love the colours in it. Gary has lived how long and not yet worked out that sweet peppers aren't hot?
ReplyDeleteHe's a lifelong avoider of vegetables just now learning about salads!
