Quiet day, with fruit sauce

Saturday I slept on and off, Covid booster aftereffects, between watching a Foyle's War episode

and reading Sayers' Unnatural Death.

There was a welcome rain, saving me from watering my seedlings.

I made an apricot sauce to go over yogurt, about all I was up for today, after managing roast potatoes and an egg for lunch. A touch of amchur, mango powder, gave a great citrus flavor, and it set up very nicely.

All's well.  My energy is taking a day off. I did manage to change the bed and do a load of laundry, so there's that.

Happy day everyone Ted sez.

    1. I think you'd like the apricot sauce, which set up like a preserve. The flavor is so much better than the stuff you buy, even the expensive kind.

I’ll add it to the must watch list

    1. It exists on DVD, too,so you may want to see if that helps. It's definitely worth finding such acting and production.

  3. 'Covid booster aftereffects'. Really? You don't an excuse to have a lazy day, and you did get stuff done. For my ninth vaccination two weeks ago, I didn't even have a sore arm. I had a 'flu shot at the same time.

    1. That's words to live by -- no need for an excuse. I do feel obliged to be busy, no idea why! I don't think I've ever had a shot without a reaction. My son scarcely misses a beat.

    1. I must note that expression. I think I should learn the art of having a day of nothing much.

  7. Loved Foyle's War...many years ago when I watched it. Just watched a Brit Box of early Miss Marples. The best thing of aging is not always remembering the plots!

  8. The night after I got my covid shot, I slept for 12 hours! Practically unheard of, but that was the effect on me as well.

  9. Here, the pharmacies all advertise that they've got covid vaccines, but I have noticed that our doctors, while they urge the pneumonia and shingles vaccinations do not say one word about covid. Of course there is a TESLA in the parking lot too.

    1. That's odd. It's as least as present as the other ailments.

  11. It's good to hear that you're doing so well. Your cooking always sounds creative and intriguing. Apricot sauce! We had apricot trees in Calif. when I was a kid. The scent of the blossoms was heavenly.

    1. Just the idea of apricot trees is amazing. I don't think there are any locally. Peach, yes.

  12. I just look at the day after an immunization as a day of mandated rest.

    1. I tend to think of rest ss something that happens when I collapse! Doesn't come naturally.

  17. A sloth day is definitely warranted. They're something I can't seem to force myself to do because I get bored and have to get up and do something.
