Steamed new potatoes

First half of the harvest, steamed for about ten minutes, dotted with butter, sprinkled with fresh picked thyme, some smoked ham. Great small lunch. Dessert farm blueberries and yogurt.

Doesn't get much better. No need to do a lot when the ingredients are this good.

  1. The potatoes look wonderful, Liz; looks like you could grow these all year round, like herbs...

    1. They were lovely to taste, too. Different from storebought, even though they came from a storebought that was sprouting. I guess it's the lack of storage that helps. And I'm doing it again tomorrow!

  2. I'd say so! very simple and lovely. Had unexpected visitors yesterday, and when they left, they had a bag of fresh herbs picked for them! Thai basil, Italian basil, rosemary, thyme, tarragon. People just love this.
