Artisanal afternoon break

Scene: indoors, mid-afternoon, July, temp in mid nineties, feels even hotter, who cares, once it gets up there, might as well be 150f.

Break from morning at knitting group, afternoon home again, piecing.

Homemade everything: lemonade, whole wheat bread, yogurt cheese, apricot preserves. Puffick!

  1. My first comment has vanished so pls excuse if this is a repeat. We still seem to be on the same wavelength...your lunch was almost a "snap" except I had strawberry chia preserve.
Hope you are enjoying your piecing and the rayon fabric is co-operating.

  2. It's funny how that keeps happening. The piecing's going quite well, looking forward to arranging the patches to see my design. The rayon is more friendly than I expected. I was piecing while listening to The Nine, terrific book about SCOTUS, and Death Comes to Pemberly, which is very sloooow.

  3. PS: I just tried a new combo of some of the aforementioned lemonade splashed into strong cold coffee. Great new summer drink. Now, dogonart, go ahead and tell me you do that, too!

  4. Its more likely to be single malt scotch which we refer to around here as "a drop of peppermint dear".

  5. Shortly after the picture, it was an empty plate and glass!
